WHEN does Camp Hornet begin?
Camps are only a week-long commitment. Students can sign up for June 3-6, June 10-13, June 17-20, and/or June 24-27. We are located at Valley Center Intermediate School, 737 North Meridian, Valley Center, KS 67147.
All camps run Monday-Thursday at Valley Center Intermediate School from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
IS busing available?
If busing is available to your address during the regular school year, then busing is also available for the Camp Hornet Summer Program. You must indicate on the enrollment form if you are planning on using transportation services. Buses only run at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. Your student also has the option of riding the shuttles which are available at Abilene Elementary School, West Elementary School, and Lions Park and run at the same times previously listed. HOW much do classes cost?
Camp Courses are $30.00 or $35.00 each per week.

Make checks payable to USD 262. In the memo of the check, please indicate the name(s) of your student(s).
WILL breakfast and lunch be available?
The summer breakfast and lunch programs are available again this year. Students in the Camp Hornet program who are present during lunch and breakfast will have the opportunity to eat.
HOW will I know my student's schedule?
Schedules will be sent home via email before the start of Camp Hornet. We try to accommodate all enrollment requests, but you may be notified if a class is full or other circumstances arise.
