School-Based Health Clinic

Are you sick or injured? Do you need a sports physical or a vaccination? Do you need a well-child check or lab work? The School-Based Health Clinic provides these services for all USD 262 students, staff, and their families, as well as those participating in the Valley Center Parents as Teachers program. The clinic, located inside Valley Center High School, provides care for acute illnesses, coughs, colds, fevers, rashes, acne, COVID-related concerns, and more. All major forms of insurance are accepted. If you are concerned about affording care, please call the clinic to discuss options.

Dr. Kari Harris
Dr. Kari Harris completed her medical degree and pediatric residency at KU in Wichita and joined the faculty shortly after graduation. She is happily married and has three children in the Valley Center district. Dr. Harris became interested in school-based health early in her career recognizing that having onsite school clinics decreases barriers to accessing medical care. Dr. Harris believes that kids do best when communities collaborate to support them. In addition to her part-time clinical practice, Dr. Harris participates in research, advocacy, program development, and medical education at KU.
Dr. Elizabeth Lewis
Elizabeth Lewis, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained family medicine specialist with expertise in sports medicine and adolescent care. She earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia, MO. Dr. Lewis then furthered her training with a family medicine residency at Via Christi Family Medicine in Wichita, KS, and a fellowship in sports medicine at Via Christi Sports Medicine in Wichita. Dr. Lewis enjoys getting to know her patients on a personal level and providing general medical and sports medicine care to support their multifaceted needs. She lives in Wichita with her husband and their golden retriever.
Dallas Klinkner RN, BSN
Dallas Klinkner's nursing journey began in 2016 when she earned her LPN, followed by her RN in 2021 from Butler Community College. She continued to advance her education by obtaining a BSN in 2023 from Fort Hays State University, where she is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Dallas's passion is deeply rooted in serving underserved populations, and her experience spans Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) family medicine, emergency medicine, and school nursing.Her dedication to these vulnerable communities underscores her commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of those most in need. Dallas is excited to be a part of the School-Based Health Clinic, where she looks forward to expanding her knowledge and serving individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Kerry Nantsis, APRN
Kerry Nantsis is a nurse practitioner who has been with KU Wichita Pediatrics for six years. Kerry received her undergraduate degree from Newman University and her graduate degree from Wichita State University, where she specialized in family practice. She is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is passionate about improving access to pediatric health care and excited to be a part of the School-Based Health Clinic.
