What is Parents As Teachers?

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a nationwide program designed to provide children from prenatal to age five the best possible start in life.

PAT is a FREE program offered to any family in the USD 262 school district, that offers personal visits, group connections, and free screenings.  

There are no requirements to participate in Valley Center Parents as Teachers you must simply reside in the Valley Center USD 262 School District.

Playgroup is geared toward ages birth to five years. Parent-child interaction is a focus. There is 45 minutes of free play and 15 minutes of circle/story time. All PAT home visits and groups are free for all USD 262 families.
