Welcome to USD 262 and the #HornetFamily!
USD 262 Valley Center Public Schools is located just north of Wichita, Kansas, and serves approximately 3,200 students from Valley Center, Park City, Kechi, and Wichita. Ranked the #1 school district in Sedgwick County, our district combines the safety and close-knit feel of a small town with easy access to Metro-Wichita, making it a great place for students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our schools include three neighborhood elementary schools (grades Pre-K–3), an intermediate school (grades 4–5), a middle school (grades 6–8), and a 5A high school (grades 9–12). The elementary schools are located in welcoming residential neighborhoods, while the high school sits just outside Valley Center, surrounded by open fields. In USD 262, we are all Hornets—from pre-K through graduation and beyond!
USD 262 also offers virtual and adult learning opportunities through The Learning Center, helping students of all ages earn their high school diplomas. Strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions prepare students for college, career, and military pathways after graduation.
