Welcome to USD 262 and the #HornetFamily!

USD 262 Valley Center Public Schools is located just north of Wichita, Kansas. We are a growing school district with a small-town, close-knit community that feels like a family! USD 262 serves approximately 3,200 students from the communities of Valley Center, Park City, Kechi, and Wichita, KS. Our district’s location provides a unique opportunity to blend the feel and safety of a small town with easy access to Metro-Wichita.

There are three elementary schools, one intermediate school, one middle school, and one high school:

The district provides an Early Childhood program located at the Abilene Elementary location, as well as a separate location providing an Adult Diploma Completion Program at The Learning Center.

Enrolling Your Student

USD 262 offers online enrollment to families with new and/or returning students, however enrollment timelines and processes vary depending on your student’s status and which school year they are enrolling for.

New Students (not currently enrolled in USD 262):
Online enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year for students who are new to USD 262 will begin on July 14, 2025.
