Valley Center Hornets

  • The BIG GAME is today!Mrs. Jantz’s class will take on Wichita North.Remember to support not only the Hornet team but the visiting team as well!

  • The Winter Homecoming Dance will be this Saturday, February 16 in the high school commons from 7:30-9:30 pm.  Admittance is $5 at the door and a school ID is required.  COTY points will be awarded.  If you have an out of school guest, you must get the form from the office and submit it by Friday, February 15. 

     

     

  • Anyone interested in trying out for the 2019-2020 Cheerleading Squad (including Mascot), there will be a parent/student informational meeting on Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the VCHS Library.

     

  • Any student wanting to take an AP exam in May needs to have their order form turned into Mrs. Harpool, Bookkeeper, in the main office by March 8th.  Students must pay at least the $15 nonrefundable order fee to process the order.  Remaining $79 is due on or before May 1.  Any student in need of an order form, or those that qualify for free and reduced lunch, please see Mrs. McDonald.

     

     

  • There will be a meeting for anyone interested in the TRACK TEAM on Wednesday, February 20th at 7:30 AM in the weight room.Please bring your Chromebook to the meeting.

 

 

                              

  • AUDITIONS FOR THE SPRING PLAY, PETER and the STARCATCHER!

                Tuesday Feb. 19 @ 7:00 p.m. (enter by the band room) and Wednesday Feb. 20 @ 3:00       p.m.   All auditions take place in the VCHS Auditorium

                Roles available for: 10 Men and 3 Women, 5 – 6  Either

                Auditions will consist of improv, cold readings, some singing (not essential) and some      choreography. Please wear something you can move in! Questions? See mtut in the    Drama Classroom – B03

     

          Production dates April 12 – 13, 2019

     

     

  • Attention all sophomores and juniors...if you are interested in taking BLOCK classes at WSU Tech next fall, please see Mrs. Lee ASAP. Programs fill up. Don't miss out on the opportunity if you are interested in any of the these areas: Auto service, Aviation Maintenance, CATIA, Heating and Air Conditioning, Construction Science, Sheet Metal/Composites, Electronics, Healthcare, Interior Design, IT Systems, Machining, Maintenance Reliability, Police Science, Robotics, and Welding. FREE TUITION is available in eligible courses. Programs fill up fast and they are first-come-first serve.

     

  • Seniors!! Are you planning to attend WSU Tech next year for one of their technical programs? If so, contact Mrs. Lee and get signed up to attend the official signing day on Feb 21st! Scholarships are provided!

     

     

     

  • Students interested in the Spring Clay Target Team should check their email or see Steen Danielsen to get on the email list to receive information.

    Registration will begin Friday January 25th so get on the list now if you want to join the Valley Center Clay Target Club.

If you need a quiet place to work, access to a computer and internet, or one on one help in your classes, make sure to take advantage of this free service. After school tutoring is located in the library every Monday-Thursday from 3:00 P.M.-4:30 P.M.
