  • Congratulations to the VCHS Scholars’ Bowl team on their 3rd place finish at the Wellington Varsity Invitational Tournament last night! Led by senior captain Cade Ciesielski with 265 net points, the squad ran through pool play with a 5-2 record advancing to finals. With a well-rounded team that included Ben Stiglitz, Ellie Quintanar, and Kaeli Gard, the team went on to sweep their pool competitors and edge out one of two Collegiate teams for a 3rd place finish. Tournament note: Coach Michael Moseley observed proudly from his comfy spectator seat.

  • VCIS is hosting the first ever VEX IQ elementary robotics competitions for the state of Kansas!  VCIS is in need of volunteers to help run the tournaments on January 27th and February 10th!  This is a great opportunity to interact with elementary students and support the growth of STEM in our community!  Please contact Whitney Smith at the Intermediate if you would like to volunteer!

  • All Junior & Seniors are asked to participate in the After Prom poinsettia sale that runs from November 9 through November 27.  This sale is a large part of the fundraising for the After Prom celebration.  You will receive 5 prize tickets for every poinsettia that you sell.  In addition, if you sell 2 or more poinsettias, you will receive an additional 10 tickets.  The more prize tickets you have, the better your chances are of winning a great prize at After Prom.  Some of the prizes last year were: TV’s, mini-fridges, microwaves, Fitbits, gift cards, cash and many more.

Order forms are available in the office at the high school.  Turn in completed forms into the office.

Please participate in this fundraiser to help make After Prom a success

  • After Prom is hosting Breakfast with Santa on December 2, 2017; 9-11 am at VCMS.  Please sign up to help setup for the event on December 1; 4-6 pm and/or during the event.  We rely on student & parent volunteers for all of our fundraisers.  Please sign up!

The students will earn tickets used at after prom for chances to win prizes.  OR the students can use that time for NHS volunteer hours (NOT BOTH).  Parents will also earn prize tickets for their child to use at after prom.

  • The weight room will be closed after school to ALL students until after thanksgiving. Use this time to rest your body! The facility will be available for free lift every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday for the weeks November 27th- December 14th. You may not be in the weight room after school unless you are with a coach during these dates.

  • The Guidance Office would like a copy of YOUR university, college, military, apprenticeship, or employment acceptance letter!  We are EXCITED for our seniors to have options and plans for next year and want to celebrate with you!  If you have an acceptance letter or certificate that you would like to share with us, bring it to the guidance office and we will make a copy.  We plan to laminate and share these examples of your future options with our students, staff and visitors in a BIG way.  You can email us a copy or bring it by the office if you choose.  Congrats seniors!  We are excited for your future!
